Security and File Handling
Plain-language facts about the current PDFconver workflow, its limits, and the checks that remain your responsibility.
Protected transfer and account boundaries
Files are uploaded over HTTPS. A document job is associated with the signed-in account, and job status and download requests are checked against that account. Stored object paths are separated by user and job identifiers.
These controls reduce accidental cross-account access, but no online service can promise zero risk. Do not upload a file unless you have authority to process it.
What the service processes
PDFconver stores the input needed to run the tool, job metadata, and the resulting download. The hosted service enforces a maximum combined upload size of 25 MB per job and the file-count limit shown on each tool page.
Retention can vary by feature, operational need, support case, fraud prevention, or legal requirement. PDFconver does not claim immediate or zero-retention deletion. See the Privacy Policy for the governing description, and contact support before using a workflow with a strict deletion requirement.
Use sensitive documents carefully
Before uploading, classify the document and remove information the task does not require. For health, financial, identity, legal, confidential business, export-controlled, or regulated records, follow your organization's approved tools and policies. A local or managed enterprise workflow may be more appropriate.
Verify every result
Conversion can change fonts, page geometry, tables, links, accessibility tags, metadata, permissions, signatures, or image quality. OCR and AI-assisted results can misread or omit content. Keep the source, open the downloaded result, and verify material facts before sharing, signing, filing, or replacing an approved document.
Security FAQ
Are uploads protected in transit?
PDFconver uses HTTPS for data sent between your browser and the service.
Can another user open my job?
Job status and downloads are queried with both the job identifier and the signed-in user's account identifier.
What is the upload limit?
The hosted service accepts up to 25 MB combined per job. Each tool also enforces its displayed file-count limit.
Are online tools suitable for every document?
No. Classify a document before uploading it and use an approved local or managed workflow when policy, law or sensitivity requires one.
Should I rely on a converted or AI-generated result without checking it?
No. Compare the result with the source and verify important text, figures, formatting, permissions and signatures before relying on it.
